How To Do An Oil Change

Changing your cars oil is something everyone with a car need to do, so why not do it yourself. Changing your oil is really easy and simple.

The first thing you want to do is get your supplies, find out what kind of oil and oil filter your car needs, get a oil catch pan and a funnel if needed.

Then, if needed, jack the car up and find the oil pan, look for the oil drain bolt and loosen it, after it is loosened, quickly pull it away to avoid getting covered in oil,Let the old oil drain. After the oil drains, screw the plug back in and then unscrew the filter, this may require a specialized wrench. Oil the gasket on the new oil filter and install it.

Then put in the new oil either in the top of the valve cover, or in s separate fill hole. Be sure to put the right amount of oil in.

After this your good to go for another 4,000 or so miles depending on what oil you get.
